Jazz radio producer and columnist Wilbert Sostre Maldonado has written reviews and articles for several publications in the United States and Puerto Rico; among them, All About Jazz, Jazz Times, Jazz Inside Magazine, Latin Jazz Network, Diálogo University of Puerto Rico,

Wilbert Sostre has been invited to share his knowledge about jazz on the radio stations Vid 90.3, Radio University of Puerto Rico, Yunque Radio, Radio Oro, Radio Paz 810, Radio Leo, WPAB 550 Ponce, Mundo Salsa Radio, the podcast The Jazz Listener and the television program En Record with Elwood Cruz on ABC Puerto Rico.
Wilbert Sostre studied music at the University of Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and has a master’s degree in human resource management from the University of Phoenix.
Author of the book Boricua Jazz: Puerto Rico Jazz History (2019). Wilbert Sostre was the editor of jazz biographies for the Puerto Rico Music Museum.
He is currently the producer and host of the radio show Puerto Rico Jazz which airs every Sunday from 8 to 9 a.m. (New York Time) on Brave New Radio, William Paterson University, New Jersey, and every Sunday at 6 p.m. on Radio Procer 1380am and 98.5fm Barranquitas. He is also the host and producer of the radio show Jazzeando airing Wednesdays 7pm on salseoradio.com.
