Giuseppe Mormile (Italy)
President of Veneto Jazz and artistic director of Venezia Jazz Festival.
He is the founder and president of Veneto Jazz since 1988, a leading association in Italy for the organization of music events.
He is the artistic director of Veneto Jazz, one of the most important series of jazz, world and contemporary music, that during the last few years has hosted important stars of the international music scene.
He is also the artistic director of the Venezia Jazz Festival, one of the most important festivals on the international scene, which takes place in the heart of the city of Venice.
In 1981 he created the Summer Jazz Workshop, one of the European references for jazz training. He is an expert of jazz and contemporary music and is considered one of the most well-known Italian promoters. He is a consultant for the Veneto Region, for different public administrations and for private foundations regarding jazz music.
His project Tomorrow’s Jazz it’s financed by the public funds of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
