Tommaso Perazzo

Pianist, he attended the Amsterdam Conservatorium and is now studying in New York. In 2018 he published his first album "what's coming next". He dives into unexplored musical directions as he thinks young jazz musicians have the responsibility to bring jazz to a new level, without any boundaries.

Perazzo with his quartet was awarded as the first place for the Under 25 category in the 2020 edition of our contest with the song "The rocket blues". The performance was described as "bringing passion, joy, freshness, excellent musicianship into a new level on this piece."

His quarte was described by our judges as “a band with a tough swing and a stronger bop” showing “a real jazz party”. “These guys have fun, know the language of the blues well, and have metabolized swing into their DNA. They sound like jazz veterans”.

A judge stated “I wanna go to their concert, buy the CD, listen to them in the car, the pianist leader is perfect here”.
