I started studying piano when I was 7 and then started playing flute when I was 10. I grew up in Jerusalem and learned music there. Later I enrolled at the Rubin Academy, and completed my degree at the Berklee College of Music.
Who are the musicians that influenced you the most?
I loved an israeli flutist named Shem Tov Levy (and still love his playing and music) and was inspired by the music Chick Corea wrote and included flute ).
What are your thoughts and opinions on today’s jazz scene?
Anything that brings out the true melodic component, and reflects the true soul of the artist with no filters is what inspires me and motivates me to write music straight out of the soul!
