¨Jazz en Dominicana: The Interviews 2023¨ Fernando Rodríguez De Mondesert publishes new book

Ukiyoto Publishing Co. has just published the new book by Fernando Rodríguez De Mondesert: “Jazz en Dominicana: The Interviews 2023”. This is his sixth title, and fifth in the interview series. With an introduction by César Namnúm, this new publication highlights 9 interviews with musicians Junior Santos (percussion); Melvin Rodriguez (guitar); Alvaro Dinzey (piano); Luis Ruiz (multi-instrumentalist); Bryan Paniagua (drums); and Eliezer Paniagua (saxophone); as well as producers Ángel Rafael Feliz, Iván Fernández and Freddy Ginebra.
Rodríguez De Mondesert comments: This book, like the previous 4 in the series Jazz en Dominicana: The Interviews, contains conversations held with various musicians and event/concert/festival producers. The questions were articulated with a simple and organic scheme, which managed to lead to concrete answers from each of them, highlighting their diversity of criteria and giving particularity to each dialogue. These, once again, open a window that allows the reader to peek into the current jazz scene in the Dominican Republic.
The book is published in Spanish and English, thus giving the publication and the interviewees a greater possibility of promotion and public and market reach. And, like the previous ones, it is integrated with Augmented Reality, through QR (Quick Response) codes, so that readers can scan them and enjoy the music of those interviewed.
Fernando concludes by commenting: With this one, there are now six books published, which contain interviews with 43 musicians and 10 producers of events, concerts, festivals and/or radio programs, as well as the presentation of 50 women, who have contributed and are contributing enormously in all styles and in all periods of the history of jazz in our country. We are very honored by the teamwork we have achieved with Ukiyoto Publishing and have agreed to continue with the annual publication of the series ¨Jazz in Dominicana: The Interviews, so we can expect the sixth installment of this series in the first quarter of 2025.
“Jazz en Dominicana: The Interviews 2023” is available in the Amazon internet store.
