Kornél Zipernovszky (Hungary)

Founder of the Jazz Studies Research Group, co-edited the Jazz special issue of Americana E-Journal and the Jazz Studies issue of the social science journal Replika. Kornél has been active as a jazz critic and journalist for decades, currently writing for Gramofon Klasszikus és Jazz, Magyar Narancs, Müpa Magazin, Magyarjazz.hu and other publications.

Kornél Zipernovszky (Hungary)

Kornél Zipernovszky is pursuing his PhD in American Studies on jazz at ELTE University, Budapest. He is the founder of the Jazz Studies Research Group, co-edited the Jazz special issue of Americana E-Journal (vol. X.) and the Jazz Studies issue of the social science journal Replika (101-102, in Hungarian). He also published a handbook chapter on European jazz in 2015, and is a contributor to the History of Jazz in Europe (OUP). He has been active as a jazz critic and journalist for decades, currently writing for Gramofon Klasszikus és Jazz, Magyar Narancs, Müpa Magazin, Magyarjazz.hu and other publications. He often served on the panel of competitions and showcases in Hungary and abroad.
