Dubi Lenz (Israel)

Broadcaster, editor, journalist, teacher and writer. Member of the Israeli Education Ministry’s Music Committee. Artistic Director of The Red Sea Jazz Festival. Member of the planning committee of Unesco’s FORUM CULTURAL MUNDIAL (Brazil, 2004/2006). In 2009 he received Awarded Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by the French government.

Radio work 
1973 to 2014
Broadcaster and editor, primarily of music programs, I.D.F. Radio (a national public radio station); 15 years as director of the music department. Currently editing daily shows, broadcasting a weekly two-hour world music program and creating special shows with musicians releasing new CDs.
1.1.2015 –
After retiring from I.D.F. Radio, start to broadcast once a week “mostly jazz” @ 88FM national radio.

Artistic director of the “Hearing the World Festival,” Tel Aviv. 
Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals in Europe (EFWMF); member since 1998; chairman of this organization from October, 2004, to October, 2005; 
Edited the Forum’s International Newsletter (released twice a year) for three years.
Lectures on World Music at many Israeli academic institutions on World Music, 
Lectures on Israeli World Music at venues around the world, including the music conservatory of Marseille, the Rosario university in Bogota, Columbia, and many radio shows about Israeli music in Australia, new Zealand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Brazil, Argentina, Ivory Coast, Mali and Senegal.
2014 - Lecturing a semester in North Eastern University – “Music Without Boundries.”
